Rigid click flooring can often be installed over existing flooring, provided the subfloor is clean, dry, and level. However, it's essential to assess the condition of the existing floor and consult installation guidelines or a professional installer for the best results.

Here are general steps for laying your vinyl floor:

1. Prepare the Subfloor: Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and level. Remove any debris or old adhesive.
2. Acclimate the Flooring: Leave the vinyl planks in the room for 24-48 hours to adjust to the temperature and humidity.
3. Plan the Layout: Start from the center or a straight wall and plan the layout to minimize cuts and ensure symmetry.
4. Install the Planks:
   • For Glue-Down (Dry Back): Apply adhesive evenly and press the planks firmly into place.
   • For Rigid Click: Interlock the planks by clicking them together.
   • For Loose-Lay: Lay the planks directly on the subfloor without adhesive or use a tackifier.
5. Trim and Finish: Cut the planks to fit edges and corners, and install baseboards or trim for a finished look.
